Family and surroundings

About us

From one generation to the next

Since 1900, we have been producing wine in a small hamlet of Bionzo in Costigliole d'Asti, a quaint town between the Langhe and the Monferrato.

The vineyards extend on the hill of Bricco Quaglia, an area which has long been celebrated as one of the best for the production of high-quality wines.

It is on this hill that our story begins. The favourable position of the vineyards and our constant commitment allow us to tell the stories of this land, celebrating its beauty.

The values of doing, improving, and innovating

Our story

1904

Our company was founded in the early 1900s, when great-grandfather Alfonso began cultivating vines on the Bricco Quaglia hill, passing down his passion for this tiring and rewarding work to his son Giovanni and grandson Alfonso.

1998

Giorgio and Roberto, now the fourth generation to succeed one another in the production of wine, take the reins of the company and decide to vinify the best grapes, creating a real brand. The first wine of the new generation is Barbera d'Asti Superiore Porlapà, produced with grapes from a vineyard planted in 1936.

2001

The first 4000 bottles were produced this year and we have never stopped growing from there.
The passion and enthusiasm towards our wines pushes us to experiment and vinify all our grapes, planting new ones, focusing not only on Barbera but also on Moscato, Chardonnay and lastly Nebbiolo, the grape with which they are produced Barolo and Barbaresco.

Today

In 2005 we started traveling all over the world thanks to our wine. Asia first, then North America, today we continue to look for new markets in which to make the quality of our wines known without neglecting our territory, where we have created a place that we are grateful to be able to call home. Everything here was made with our own hands, to recreate a family environment in which to taste and purchase our products.

COSTIGLIOLE D’ASTI

Located in southern Piedmont, Costigliole d'Asti is one of the most evocative centers in the heart of the Alto Monferrato Asti area.

Land of vineyards and great traditions

We are located between Langhe and Monferrato, immersed in the UNESCO World Heritage hills, which have made this place famous throughout the world.

Two steps away

Costigliole d'Asti is located between the cities of Asti and Alba, the former renowned for its Barbera and its Moscato and the latter for its truffles. A few kilometers from Costigliole are the cities of Barolo and Barbaresco which have become famous for their wines of the same name.

The wine area is located on the Monferrato hills still in the province of Asti on the border with the Langhe hills in the province of Cuneo, a hilly area with spectacular views of historic vineyards.
Langhe and Monferrato have been a UNESCO site since 2014.
